Local Holiday Boat Parades for Christmas

BoatUS has a new online resource for helping boaters find local holiday boat parades in their area this Christmas season

holiday boat paradeSeaside towns and waterfront communities have a great tradition of celebrating the holidays with holiday boat parades.  Some of these traditional boat parades have been held for 30, 40 or 50 years.

There is nothing more spectacular than watching beautifully decorated boats all lit up with holiday lights on the water (well, accept maybe watching 4th of July fireworks on the water). Holiday boat parades are fun for boaters, waterside community residents, visitors and especially kids.

To make it easier to locate local holiday boat parades, BoatUS has put together a great new website tool.

The new Holiday Boat Parade Finder at BoatUS.com lets anyone easily locate lighted boat parades by state or specific date, and includes website links and contact information.

According to BoatUS spokes man Scott Croft…

“Watching a slow parade of boats — each one decorated and lit up brighter than a Christmas tree — is spectacular, and something the kids won’t forget.”

Although Santa Claus is likely to make an appearance at many of these local holiday boat parade events, BoatUS would not comment on whether or not Santa prefers powerboats or sail boats. (but I’m pretty sure that a sleigh floats too!)

The Holiday Boat Parade Finder from BoatUS also offers some extra tools such as submitting a local event that may not be listed, submitting a photo from a boat parade or you can also check out their growing library of holiday boat parade photos already submitted.

To check out the new tool yourself, go to the Boat US Holiday Boat Parade Finder.
